Our Second Annual Conference at the Olympic Museum was a huge success thanks to our 160 members and friends from 40 countries that participated in the Conference and the Gala Dinner at the Opéra de Lausanne. The conference featured numberous round table discussions (players unions, doping, sports arbitration, equality) and small workshops (new technologies, eSports, prospective sports arbirators’ workshop, football and mentoring). Thanks to all speakers, members, friends, volunteers and organizers that made our second conference a very successful one! Our next conference venue will be announced soon!
We had four major round tables at the Auditorium of the Olympic Museum (players unions, doping, equal pay / women’s football and sports arbitration).
We also organized smaller and interactive workshops on various topics (eSports and new technologies; a regional overview of hot topics in football; workshop for prospective sports arbitrators; and a mentoring session for younger WISLaw members).
At our General Assembly that took place immediately before the Conference, WISLaw Founders & Board Members Melanie Schärer, Despina Mavromati and Marisa Dominguez Rubio discussed the annual budget, the current membership status, the new members’ directory and other goals for 2018 as well as the annual evaluation on the participation of women in the sports law world.Olympic Museum!

The conference was followed by an aperitif and a gala dinner at the Opéra de Lausanne.
