Join us for the first-ever WISLaw talk in India as Aahna Mehrotra and Namrata Chatterjee share their experiences and expertise as female attorneys in sports law.
Aahna Mehrotra: Ms. Aahna Mehrotra is the Principal Lawyer at AM Sports Law and Management Co. and Partner at TMT Law Practice. She was called to the Bar in May 2011 and has gained considerable exposure through her experiences at different institutions worldwide.
Aahna is actively involved in the day-to-day affairs of the business of sports. Apart from working on matters in various High Courts across the country, she regularly advises clients on matters relating to league formulation, transfer of players, disputes pertaining to selection of athletes, arbitration, intellectual property rights, media and broadcasting rights, sponsorship and merchandising agreements, fantasy sports and contract law. She is also the vice-chairperson of the National Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel.
Namrata Chatterjee: Ms. Namrata Chatterjee is a Bar Council of Delhi enrolled Advocate since 2013. She has an expertise in dispute resolution, regulatory, disciplinary and governance matters in sport. Namrata is currently working as the League Secretary of the Indian Super League (ISL). Prior to this, Namrata worked as a Legal Counsel and later as a Legal Consultant for the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Previously, Namrata has also been an Associate at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co, after her graduation from National Law University, Jodhpur. Namrata’s education also includes the FIFA Master Program in 2015-16.
