Sean Cottrell, CEO of LawInSport, “We are proud and excited to be collaborating with our friends at WISLaw. LawInSport has been a “friend of WISLaw” since its conception and we are delighted to be able to support their work, but also learn and share ideas between the organisations to help improve the inclusivity of sport and law. Across all of LawInSport’s events we have achieved over 30% women speakers since our first event in 2012. However, we are always looking for ways in which we can improve the opportunities for knowledgeable and talented people from diverse backgrounds from across the world to participate and provide greater diversity in perspectives and opinions. We believe this collaboration will help us improve the experience of speakers and attendees alike and be a showcase for our colleagues doing similar events across the world.”
Maria Elisa Dominguez Rubio, President of WISLaw, :
“We are delighted to be partnering with LawinSport in supporting the delivery of a first of its kind event providing diversity of thought and drawing on international subject-matter experts through WISLaw’s membership and network. With a global membership, WISLaw is excited to be taking part in the conference programme and to hold its 6th General Assembly in person in London, providing unparalleled networking opportunities and visibility to its members. We believe that this collaboration will enable members and delegates to make new diverse connections, build friendships, and exchange ideas and expertise. We can’t wait to see everyone in London!”
