Ever since I was 12 cycling has been my passion. For thirteen years I called it my job. Now, I want to use my experience and expertise to challenge what has always been done, so current and future athletes can do what has never been done.
I jumped on a plane to Europe when I was 18 years old and said goodbye to my Mum with no idea who I was meeting or when I would be home again. More than a decade later, I returned to Australia. In that time, I have represented Australia at the Olympic Games, the Commonwealth Games and the World Championships.
In 2018 I achieved one of my biggest goals and one of my proudest achievements - I became Commonwealth Champion. And that's a big...deal.
My passion doesn't stop with pedal rotations however. I am a vocal advocate for equality in sport, business and life, with an obvious passion in particular for women's cycling. I believe in using my platform to raise awareness and to try and help stimulate change.
I knew my career as a professional athlete would be fleeting in the scheme of things and consequently I completed a Journalism and (almost!) a Law degree. In 2024 I hope to be admitted to practice as a lawyer by the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory.
I am driven, determined and gritty. In sport and in life.
