Karabo
Tshabuse

A distinguished attorney and FIFA Licensed Football Players' Agent, recognised for her pioneering contributions to sports and employment law. She is the co-founder of Tshabuse Ramashia-Dube Inc., a dynamic law firm now in its fourth year, and P Management, a premier sports agency representing some of South Africa’s top football talent for the past 18 years.
Karabo began her legal career at Bowmans, one of South Africa’s leading law firms, where she developed her expertise in employment law. Building on this foundation, she went on to establish TRD Inc., where she currently leads the Sports Law, Employment Law, and Litigation departments.
Her practice spans a range of areas including employment and commercial contracts, regulatory and compliance frameworks, unfair labour practices, workplace conditions, employee benefits, company policies, and dispute resolution. She is particularly respected for her nuanced understanding of the intersections between sport, business, and law.
In 2009, Karabo made history as the first female FIFA-recognised Players’ Agent in Africa. She renewed her FIFA license under the updated regulations in 2023 and continues to represent leading footballers across Southern Africa. Her expertise has been showcased at prestigious forums such as the Court of Arbitration for Sport and the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber. Notably, she was involved in two high-profile cases in 2021 and 2022 that shaped South African football, dealing with player eligibility and the impact of Covid-19 on commercial contracts.

Karabo holds a BA and an LLB (cum laude) from the University of the Witwatersrand, and further enhanced her skill set by completing the Conflict Dynamics Commercial Mediation Course in 2020.
Her work has earned her recognition both locally and internationally, including listings in the Mail & Guardian’s 200 Young South Africans (2013), the BBC’s 100 Women Series (2015), and Glamour Magazine’s Women of the Year Awards (2016) in the Business category.
