Director Legal at FIFPRO Alexandra is a lawyer and a notary public who studied in Uruguay, in the Universidad de la República. She graduated from a Master’s degree (LL.M) in International Commercial law in the Erasmus University, in The Netherlands. She is a graduate from the Oxford Women‘s Leadership Development Programme, at Oxford University, and of the Accelerated Development Programme, at London Business School. Alexandra joined FIFPRO in 2013, and became the Legal Director in 2025. She manages a team of lawyers who provide legal assessment to Player Associations and professional football players around the world, in relation to player contracts, collective bargaining agreements, National Dispute Resolution Chambers, etc. Alexandra and her team also led several reforms to better protect the rights of professional football players, including the successful promotion of parental rights for professional players. Alexandra is a regular lecturer at various Masters in International Sports Law / Football Law, she is an international speaker, and a mentor. In 2021, and 2025 Alexandra was awarded the WISLaw (Women is Sports Law) certificate of In-house Legal Counsel of the year. Since 2017, Alexandra is a Judge of the FIFA Dispute Resolution Chamber, being the first woman to ever hold this position.
