I attended Southampton University (1987 - 1990) and read Law (2:1). I did my training contract at Farrer & Co qualifying in 1993 as a solicitor. I worked in a variety of legal sectors from 1993 to 2007 and had three children. In 2007 I joined the Rugby Football Union where i worked as Safeguarding Manager. I left in 2017 and have been working as a consultant in safeguarding. I have a wide range of clients and also sit on The Football Association Safeguarding Review Panel. I also sit on Sport Resolutions National Safeguarding Panel. I am also a governor of two schools including the Royal Ballet School.
